Different World

Detroit-born Claude Young has literally stretched his musical frontiers in the broadest of international directions. From his earliest work together with K.Hand, Terrence Parker, Mijk van Dijk and the Pattern Buffer series, Claude Young has yielded international fame with his sonic recherches. Moving to Japan resulted in a collaboration with Takasi Nakajima which in turn brought about the birth of their collaboration called Different World. Tonight they present their project in the form of a four-hour live and DJ set, a feast for the ears and your dancing feet. Definitely not to be missed especially with the excellent backing by Todd Bodine. Resident house DJ and Tresor Records artist, he is a prestigious Highgrade and Tresor Records alumni, and Berlin DJ du jour, playing highly effective and deliciously intelligent house for the future. Without a doubt Todd Bodine has his own place in the rows of Berlin's most important producers - on the one side as a heavily booked DJ, on the other side as a profilic producer or as an energetic live performing artist, having released two full albums. Tonight sees the basement decks controlled by two acts: youANDme is a project of Martin and Daniel and both live in Berlin. They work as DJs and producers since 1995. Both love the deeper side of music with many funk and soul, but every time raw and kicking. The structure of a youANDme set is very different; they like to play several styles in one set like house, techno, dub or electronica. They have published their tracks and mixes at labels like Rotary Cocktail Recordings, Ornaments, Cocoon, Rekids, Compost, Platzhirsch, Rebirth, 2020Vision, Snork and many others. Schoppen Wittes joins in the techno creativity, making this Friday night in Tresor Club very, very special indeed.
