At the age of 8, DJ DefJam discovered that there could only be one love for him - and that was music. Fascinated by Public Enemy, Dr.Dre, N.W.A but also various techno acts, his enthusiasm took hold of him and just a little later he stood at a record player for the first time and worked on his precise scratches and backspins.
He probably didn't realize at first that his professional future would develop from this. And so everything happened very quickly and the list of clubs in and around Berlin got longer and longer. Adagio, Asphalt, Felix, Maxxim, Diamonds (Cologne) - to name just a few, have already been able to see for themselves what it means when DJ DefJam brings the club air to a boil with one banger after another.
The champagne corks pop and hot, scantily clad ladies wait exuberantly for the next stroke of genius from the Berlin needle virtuoso. At a party with DJ DefJam, people rock and the entire block shakes with his bass. The Ruff Ryders, who are probably known to every head, didn't choose him for nothing to spread their style in Europe. And with a name like that behind him, he runs at full speed at every party, which is something not only B-Tight and Harris can sign. Because when DJ DefJam plays, VIPs like porn star Vivian Schmitt and Hot-Rod (G-Unit) lend a hand.
It's easy to convince clubbers of his perfect mix of RnB, dirty house & club sounds. But also big names like G-Unit, Shadyville, Coolio, DJ Tomekk and Unter Druck really wanted to win the likeable Berliner for their after-show parties and were more than thrilled. It wasn't enough for him to just be an artist and so, alongside Kenelly, he is a co-founder of the now legendary Jump Off Black Parties. In the label business the manager, behind the turntables the conductor of the freshest records in Berlin! Many claim they master the turntables, but DJ DefJam is a brand, a DJ whose face shows that he loves what he does. With precision and flair At the right moment he brings the flavor from the States to the German clubs. Be prepared, when he pumps out his tracks you won't get home before it gets light! BIG UP!!!
