By the time we write this text, it almost feels like a distant dream. Many months have passed since our last expedition and what we took for granted is now what we long for.
When the pandemic broke out, our crew got used to the situation pretty quickly and maybe even welcomed a much-needed break. But with every lost weekend, with every top-notch month, we too have started to feel this old itch. This feeling has been growing lately, parallel to the late arrival of summer and the drastic decline in corona infections. Finally, with a healthy dose of cautious optimism, we are ready to plan a new expedition.
Unlike our wild, unforgettable nights together, this expedition will be different. As part of the: // about blank's Sektgarten series, our expedition will take place during the day, on a (hopefully) sunny Sunday in late summer. This, and not only this, has of course led us to consider some adjustments to our typical musical curation during the expeditions. Understanding that we've all had to endure a little too much darkness and gloom for the past year and a half, we decided to leave techno aside for this time. Instead, we hoped to create a program that was just as inspiring but more optimistic and colorful than what techno usually offers. We decided to dedicate this expedition to driving house music with many ethnic elements, with a focus on the emerging sub-genre Afro House. For this purpose we have put together an extremely diverse lineup. It's so diverse, and every DJ has such a unique style, that we recommend being with it from the start and sticking with it until the last chord has been played.

Hold on tight, we're restarting the count. It is time to rediscover the roots in order to rebuild a better world within our scene. Expeditions X sparkling wine garden - let's begin.
