Eric van Wonterghem has almost two dozen albums on the scoreboard. Before releasing his first solo album in 1997 with Compressedform and starting out as Monolith, he was already part of several experimental EBM and industrial band projects in the 80s.
Even though Monolith can be found, in the loosest sense, under Techno, his records are very much influenced by his band clinic and mainly belong to the Industrial and Rhythmic Noise section.
On his current album Domination, however, he shows how well he has brute force for the dancefloor in mind, without drifting too much into experimentation.
THNTS and the Hanford Beachbar DJ team can be classified as classic big room or warehouse Techno. Their driven sets define themselves through clear structures, dominance as well as a proper portion of gloom and are always good for a surprise.
