Grand Jeté 0.2 with Frank Bretschneider and Achterbahn D'Amour
Grand Jeté is a series of electronic music events at
OHM club, located in the industrial complex of Kraftwerk Berlin (in the
immediate vicinity of TRESOR club). On four Thursdays from September to
December 2014, Grand Jeté presents an electronic live act sharing the
stage with several DJs. The participating artists come from different
musical backgrounds, however all Grand Jeté events will have one thing
in common: the exploration of rhythm and sound. A thrilling listening
and dance event guaranteed.

Frank Bretschneider (raster-noton) - LIVE

Frank Bretschneider is a musician, composer and video artist. His work
is known for precise sound placement, complex, interwoven rhythm
structures and its minimal, flowing approach. Described as »abstract
analogue pointilism«, »ambience for spaceports« or »hypnotic echochamber
pulsebeat«, Bretschneider’s subtle and detailed music is echoed by his
visuals: perfectly translated realizations of the qualities found in
music within visual phenomena.
At Grand Jeté, Bretschneider will
perform the audio-visual work super.trigger, his latest album for
raster-noton - an absolute trove of percussive tensions.

Achterbahn D'Amour (acid test) - DJ set

Achterbahn D'Amour is disco without disco. Euphoria lies in the return
to an elegiac web of textures, precise rhythms and traditional buzz, the
traditional buzz emanating from all things Roland. Maschine-like, raw
and dark, but nevertheless with that certain wistful shimmer that
permeates the dance floor when the hours slowly dissolve in the ether of
the imagination. In their releases Achterbahn D'Amour demonstrate a
true reverence for the 303 and 606. In their DJ sets this love
materializes in a predilection for classic machine-made people movers.

Opening set: The VSQ (i´m so blasé)

The VSQ is the DJ moniker of Hanno Leichtmann’s house alter ego the
Vulva String Quartett. His sets are open minded, beyond musical styles
but always somewhere between house, techno, acid and electro.
