Who doesn't remember hits like Send Me An Angel, Catch Me I'm Falling and Always from their hit album Heartland?
Real Life were THE Australian new wave and synth pop band of the 80's. It was founded in 1981 by David Sterry, Richard Zatorski and Alan Johnson. Back then, the trio performed under the name The Wires and wowed their audience.
Drummer Danny Simcic joined the band in 1982 and Real Life made a name for themselves locally with numerous live performances. In the same year they signed their first record deal and got the ball rolling.
Just one year later they released their mega hit Send Me An Angel in Australia.
Within the next six months, their first single became a huge success in Europe and the USA. In Germany, the title was number 1 in the charts in May 1984 and that's how they became known in German-speaking countries.
At home, in other European countries and even in the USA, the single once again reached a top 40 position as a re-release in 1989.
Today the singer, David Sterry, takes the stage alone. But the band's name has stuck, as has his hits, which he still sings with the same passion and devotion to music as before.
In 2009 he released an album of remixes and covers.
In October 2023, Real Life is coming to Germany for five exclusive concerts! He brings the 80s feeling back to the stage and sweeps the audience away. Over a number of years he has proven that he is loyal to his fans and will continue to be on stage for them. Now we are excited about his tour of Germany with his old and newly recorded hits.
Anyone who is a child of the 80s and loves music should not miss this highlight!
