Ten musicians. Ten friends. Ten stories. The FOOTPRINT PROJECT is a ten-piece High Power Brass’n’Beats Dance Orchestra from Berlin. The wild group around front woman Rokhaya plays high-energy dance music. Assigning these to a genre is not an easy thing, because when afrobeat, jazz, funk and breakbeats merge into a groove mosaic marked by sudden changes in tempo, rhythm and key, genre boundaries and joints loosen equally. Surprising - unconventional - rarely comparable - always danceable! In short: Colorful music with dance, jump and neck pain guarantee!
The line-up of the band is as unique as their music. Beatbox, drums, bass, keys and guitars build a firm foundation for sharp brasslines and soulful vocals. The name is program. The FOOTPRINT PROJECT wants to move and count the footprints on the dance floor after the concert.
