MEGALOH & Band
Megaloh, born in FFM, grew up in Berlin-Moabit, eternal insider tip of German rap, a life between chart positions and Hartz IV, big stage and hard work in the warehouse. He has already played through the fairytale stories of rap stardom, with the nightmare valleys in between. There are no illusions left about the business, everything has its price. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do to support your family. And sometimes you have to say goodbye.
Megaloh makes three crosses. His new album, his fourth solo album, marks the end of a long chapter in his life story. And maybe the beginning of a new one. It tells a hero's journey without heroes, it is an unembellished view of life, survival - and again and again: the end. Death runs throughout the album in cross references and references. It's actually the most universal question of mankind: Life could end at any time, so what do you want to leave behind? The kids, the fans, the world?
Misogyny Lines and Napoleon Complex?
Are clout, clicks and likes the legacy that posterity will comfort? No - Megaloh settles accounts with this scene, to which he has had a tense relationship somewhere between belonging and rejection, not only since yesterday.
“Three crosses” is farewell. "I made the album with the mindset that it could be the last". Who knows what tomorrow is? "Nothing is promised," says Megaloh. They are the words of a person who has seen up and down, who knows that it will all be over tomorrow, but that there are just as well things bigger than you, than your ego. And who is now at peace with himself. What's next? Anyone who knows Megaloh knows: probably a lot. After all, every farewell, and especially this one, is also a new beginning, the first step into a new life, a new development, a new story.
"When it's time to go, you're really ready / When you manage to break free, you're really free": Megaloh is ready and makes three crosses for everything that was and everything that is yet to come.
BSMG - Megaloh, Musa, Ghanian Stallion
Megaloh, Musa and Ghanaian Stallion are BSMG. On their album, they embrace their roots in Africa, their experiences in the diaspora and their enthusiasm for the current sounds from Accra to Atlanta in new heat. The songs come at the end of a long search for answers and establish a new self-image of African identity. No index finger, no compromises, no buts. But with larger-than-life swag.
You can also celebrate BSMG live, because with Musa and Megaloh, two like-minded MCs meet on an equal footing, pumping each other up with lines and flows. In addition, Ghanaian Stallion bangs out the beats, inspired by his DJ sets and the collapsing boundaries between trap, afrobeats and road rap. BSMG, brothers create more together!
AISHA VIBES
She wrote her first songs at the age of 12. Due to her accidental career diversion as a radio host, she hosted her own live show on Planet Radio in the afternoons. During this time her spontaneous freestyle to a Biggie Smalls instrumental went viral, Missy Elliott posted one of her dance videos on her social media channels and her very entertaining way of writing her stories drew thousands of fans overnight who wanted more.
Fast forward - we've arrived in 2023 and Vibes has already boxed itself quite a way forward with their all female team. The next step is the second EP by Vibes called ELEVATE. For Vibes, this EP is about a good and healthy sense of self, empowerment, elevation and good vibes. Great new songs and projects are waiting for Aisha Vibes 2023!
