Every year the big Christmas market takes place in the old town of Spandau - with a program that is as colorful as a lavishly decorated Christmas tree.
Berlin Christmas market with tradition
The old town of Spandau is the perfect setting for a nostalgic Christmas market. In the largest connected pedestrian zone in Berlin, the huts and stalls of the medieval market and the arts and crafts market nestle into small alleys and cobblestone streets. In this setting, a nativity scene with live animals adds the icing on the cake to the special atmosphere. After the Christmas market could not take place in 2020 and 2021, it is planned again for this year.
Art and culinary delights from all over the world
Over the years, the Christmas market's offerings have become increasingly international. Visitors can find art and original gift ideas from all continents - such as perfumes from the Middle East, Christmas decorations from Poland or clothing made from Peruvian alpaca wool. The range of sweets and treats is just as diverse.
