Nothing stays as it was - and that's a good thing!

To our event "Rap am Ostkreuz" on July 22nd. & 23.07. in Berlin:
This event would not be what it wants to be if the debate about deutschrapmetoo did not influence it. Here, too, no "business as usual" is the order of the day and there will be some changes so that everyone involved can feel good with and on the rap at Ostkreuz 2. Two artists canceled their participation for different reasons. We want to deal with it openly and thank both of them for their clear criticism, openness and willingness to enter into dialogue.

The blank that will appear in the program on Thursday will not be filled with music. That is a decision we made together with the artists. We want to make the space we have this evening in: // about blank available for an overdue discussion:
Sexism & German rap - an outlook
It was not just since the current deutschrapmetoo debate that sexism and sexualised violence have been structural problems in Deutschrap that - if at all - are only addressed by those affected.

Our partners from Misc Berlin have invited the initiators of deutschrapmetoo and talk to various actors about the status quo and the prospect of change. The artists who were booked for this day should still get their stage. Before the discussion, Thara and QueenWho play, after the discussion Finna and Henri Jakobs play. So that as many interested people as possible can take part in the evening, the ticket price will be reduced to 5 euros. The tickets are only available at the box office. The entire entrance fee from this evening will go to deutschrapmetoo. All those who have already bought tickets for Thursday will be reimbursed their ticket price including fees.

It will be stress-free. There will also be an email from the ticket provider in the next few days. We make sure that everyone gets the money back. We would ask you to come to the box office in good time. You can get in with the original Thursday ticket, but you would also have to pay the 5 euros. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Please note the applicable Corona measures for entry to: // about blank:
1) Current test (less than 24 hours old) or vaccination / recovery certificate
2) Contact data entry via the Corona warning app or via corona-anmeldung.de (for both there are QR codes at the entrance) or on slips of paper
As this will delay admission, we recommend arriving early. Access to: // about blank is generally available from the age of 18.

Friday remains a rap on Ostkreuz Festival day with performances by great artists. As planned from the beginning, there will be an empowerment workshop for FLINTA * from Misc Berlin on Friday. More information on this in the event.
