Everyone who is still looking for presents will definitely find what they are looking for at the lovingly decorated stalls and Christmas houses on the barrier-free Christmas market.
From classic fir decorations to Christmas balls made of glass and bronze art, all kinds of decorations for the Christmas tree in the living room at home are offered here. The wooden Christmas cribs and handicrafts from all over Germany are popular with tourists. Children's dreams come true
Stands with sweets such as cotton candy and gingerbread and others with handmade toys ensure that children’s eyes light up. There will also be some carousels. The four big New Year's Eve fireworks, which are launched on the evening of December 31st at 6, 8, 10 and 12 p.m. from the canopy of the Europa Center, also attract many visitors. The New Year's Eve party in City West is particularly popular for families with children due to the early start times.
Starry sky
The Christmas market looks festive thanks to the 400-meter-long carpet of light that stretches across the aisles of the market and out towards the front like a starry sky. The light artist Andreas Boehlke also stages the 50 festive islands of light with Christmas balls, which are suitable as a photo motif and for the selfie. The fountain known to Berliners as the waterfall will once again be staged for Christmas with a glowing waterfall.
The world's longest Christmas lights along Kurfürstendamm also provide an atmospheric setting.
Charitable mulled wine sale
AG City e.V. will again be organizing a charitable mulled wine sale on Breitscheidplatz in 2021 with the support of the Schaustellerverband Berlin e.V.
The proceeds from the sale go to the heat bus of the DRK regional association of the Berlin Red Cross. The heat bus helps homeless people in the winter season by e.g. distributing tea, sleeping bags, sleeping mats and blankets or organizing transports to emergency shelters.
