On August 31, 2024, the Train of Love will once again move through the streets of Berlin and send a strong signal for tolerance, diversity and solidarity. Under this year's motto "Basses connect", thousands of participants are expected to stand together for an open and fair society.
Since its founding in 2015, the Train of Love has become an integral part of the Berlin scene. It combines music, activism and social commitment in a unique demonstration that is directed against hatred, exclusion and intolerance and instead focuses on the values of charity, acceptance and social justice.
A strong sign for a better society
The organizers of the Train of Love 2024 emphasize how important it is, especially in today's times, to set an example against social division. "In a world that is often characterized by conflict and prejudice, we want to use the Train of Love to set a shining example of solidarity and humanity. It's about actively working for a fairer and more peaceful world," explains Jens Schwan, press spokesman & board member.
Strengthening democracy and promoting social cohesion
A central concern of the Train of Love 2024 is to strengthen democracy education and social cohesion. "We want to strengthen democratic education and make our contribution to social cohesion. Strengthening civil society and democratic institutions is important to us, especially in view of growing anti-Semitism," says Jens Schwan.
