AŸA

AŸA is the winner of the "Listen to Berlin: Awards" 2021. On Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, AŸA will present their brand new four-track EP "USED" at Kesselhaus in der Kulturbrauerei.

Raised in an environment of political and personal crisis, AŸA had no choice but to work her struggles into her musical narrative - and she has so much to say! With each of her performances, AŸA shows that she has a wide range of experiences and always delivers unique live experiences that take the audience on a very honest, yet magical journey. She has found her voice performing on the world's biggest stages, at Eurovision, in arenas with hundreds of thousands of people, in TV shows, clubs, circuses, theaters, observatories and many more places.

Their brand new four track EP "USED" was written and composed in Berlin by Kristine Bogan, Ido Poleg, Kurtis Wells, Johnny Kulo, Gavriel, and by AŸA herself. The compositions blend her Moroccan and Yemeni roots with contemporary pop and R&B -melodies. Thematically, she deals with self-reproaches, but also with injuries caused by others. How can we see people for who they are and still love them - but somehow forget to grant ourselves the same grace.

On stage, AŸA enchants with haunting vocals and cinematic live visuals with silver medalist and aerialist Tim Kriegler mirroring her inner world in a physical space.
