The artists
FANI NDIAYE & RENU HOSSAIN – Viola D’Amore & Tabla
Fani Ndiaye (aka Stefanie Sylla) is an award-winning musician, composer and singing teacher in Berlin. Her first violin studies began in 1989. Her desire for perfect sound finally ended when she met her unique VIOLA D’AMORE. She studied classical music at the HFM (Berlin, GERMANY), jazz at the ARTEZ (Arnheim, NL) and Indian music with Dr. L. Subramaniam (Bangalore, India). In 2009 she opened the Tatigall School for Music and Yoga in Berlin and is currently setting up the country's first violin school in Senegal.
Renu Hossain is a percussionist, music producer and tabla player and lives in Berlin and London.
She studied drums with masters in Brazil, Cuba and with Chiranjit Mukherjee in Calcutta/India. Concerts with, among others, Alabama 3, Fun-Da-Mental, Kevin Davy Mika and toured worldwide with Grace Jones, the cellist and kora player Tunde Jegede and the British DJ State of Bengal. She has been producing her own music since 2010, and her third solo album was released in 2017.
LIA ANDES – Pop, Jazz, Rock, Soul & Blues
She sings with passion. Thanks to her diverse vocal training, she can effortlessly move between the genres of jazz, soul, rock, classical, pop, musical, poetry and rap. She impresses with her authenticity, vocal power and stage presence. Naturally, freely and courageously, Lia skillfully guides her audience through her musical worlds with wit, thoughtfulness, criticality and cheerfulness. Her rainbow of vocal and musical possibilities is impressive. Appearances in Germany, Vienna, Paris, London, New York, German tour "Phantom of the Opera", musical "Mozart!" Vienna, "The Hunchback of Nôtre-Dame" Berlin, audience award at the Jazz & Blues Award 2002 (Berlin) and many more, doubles CD album “She Lives” 2015.
Today she accompanies herself on the piano.

The women's band FREE SPIRITZ, founded by singer Angela Ordu, is a fresh Berlin formation made up of six musicians with diverse influences and a huge wealth of experience in various styles. In this project, they combine everything they like with fun and professionalism - from Afrobeat, jazz to reggae and transform it into groovy, danceable music. Own compositions and well-known songs from Nigeria and Ghana. Angela Ordu worked with B.G. in the 90s. Prince of Rap, DJ Company, Jan Delay & Sam Ragga Band, George Brasch (Cool Struttin’), Brothers Keepers & with their Queensland Band. She landed with the hit “Rhythm of Love” in the US charts with “January” and in the German charts with “One Love”, produced by Martin De Vries. - Due to the autoimmune disease lupus after a stroke, she had to interrupt her career; she supports lupus research with DGLF.
NAOMI BEUKES – Film: “Scarlett Ribbons” by The Centre
The author, actress, teacher and filmmaker studied at UNAM (University of Namibia) and worked at the National Theater of Independence Celebrations in Namibia. It shows the pilot webisode from the award-winning series: The Center - Stories about the lives and loves of African women who live in Berlin. She was a finalist in the Wildsound Screenwriting. Competition in Toronto. The road trip in “Scarlett Ribbons” leads to the revelation of unspoken truths between 2 women. This partially improvised short film gives an insight into one of the reasons for the devastating femicide that is shaking Namibia every day: CORRECTION RAPE.
STELLA NYANZI- Author from Uganda
Born 1974 in Uganda, poet, author, anthropologist, dissident, feminist, social justice activist and opposition politician. Her fight for freedom, for women's rights and against homophobia and transphobia landed her in prison twice, among other things because she founded the initiative "Pads4Girls" to raise money for the taboo "sanitary pad" to send to schools for poor girls across the country to distribute. Nyanzi was released in February 2020, was awarded the “PEN International Award for Freedom of Expression” and has been a scholarship holder of the Writers in Exile program at the writers’ association “PEN Zentrum Deutschland” since 2022, which supports persecuted authors and Authors and lives in Munich. Poetry collections “No Roses from My Mouth” (2020), “Don’t Come in My Mouth” (2021) and “Eulogies of My Mouth” (2022) and much more.
Party: MAYA WADA – Downtempo dance music
Born in Japan and has lived in Berlin since 2004. She celebrates the power of intuition with her space ambient.
In their world, atmosphere and rhythm, vibration and harmony are different manifestations of a great unity in which lies the essence of all things. Through sound, Maya Wada and her audience come closer and closer. AHOI met her in the beautiful MaHalla.Berlin, where she often plays.
She is also a yoga teacher with Hatha and Vinyasa.
LAZY LIU - light installation
As a conceptual artist, Lazy Liu designs rooms with video light. In anti-mapping, their projections glide over room edges, overlap with various surfaces and create additional rooms.
The rhythmic video works are all created by hand without VJ software, using a cross-over of digital and analogue media. Lazy Liu's themed light art sets colorful accents beyond stereotypical arbitrariness.
