African tradition calls the Baobab 'Arbre des Sages et des Savants', tree of the wise and the scientists. Under the Baobab, the elders impart precious and basic wisdom advice and useful rules of pedagogical and environmental education. It also hosts people for regular ceremonies to the 'Invisible Ancestors and Living', those who have passed on the other side of the river. The so-called deceased.
A Baobab has taken roots in the multi-ethnic district of Wedding area and after two sessions spent within the amazing Lefter Records store and another session at Meet Me By The Baobab Tree during Mayday 2019, U B B B R R R U, Musica Matta and Les Giants, are ready to bring again their records and their world music in the beautiful, colorful and lively Soldiner Straße.
Records From Far Away is a collective based in Berlin that aims to support and promote ethnic music and its derivatives.
Come and spend your sunny saturday in a lovely place full of music and beats.
