Karaoke 2.0 is conquering the capital – Berliners are holding a sing-along party in the Kreuzberg ballroom

A new kind of karaoke party is conquering Berlin. For several years, the two Berliners Hannes Winter and Max Pohl have been organizing small parties together as the “Michael Ritter singing collective”. The events are not only about dancing, but also about singing (along) together. The concept: the lyrics are available live for the songs. A stage is available for the performance of the lead singers. The guests simply sing along in front of the stage. The lyrics are projected onto a screen using a projector. The result: an atmosphere somewhere between the 80s and trash. The Festsaal Kreuzberg thinks it's a simple yet brilliant idea. Karaoke 2.0 is now available there for the first time on a larger scale.

It's clear that not only Tokyo can do pop culture, but also Berlin. But now the party capital of the original Japanese invention is competing with karaoke - and doing it properly. "We were immediately enthusiastic about the idea and are very happy that Hannes and Max are now presenting their party in our Festsaal Kreuzberg," says the Festsaal Kreuzberg team. "Your concept is the perfect change from classic karaoke and we are sure that our guests will be delighted."

Hannes and Max are dying to present their concept to a broader public. "I never thought that something like this would emerge from a simple flat share party idea," says Max. "But people just have fun singing along to their favorite songs together." I think that's because we don't stand alone on stage, but always sing in pairs and we can adjust the original vocals. You have support from the original singer, so to speak. The audience, on the other hand, is not the judge, but part of the combo."

The party in the Festsaal Kreuzberg will take place on March 31, 2023. If you want to be there, you can simply request your favorite songs via QR code and get started on stage with your "band name".
