After the Berlin Crash Fest last year brought together music enthusiasts for the first time in the Citadel in Berlin, the spectacle was to be repeated on August 1st this year. Due to current events, the Berlin Crash Fest cannot take place as planned and will therefore be postponed to July 31, 2021 and moved from the Citadel to the Columbiahalle. All fans of the scruffy electric guitars and singing along with growling songs will have to wait a little longer until they can see their punk rock heroes up close on stage - but we are already looking forward to a great line up.
With Bad Religion, which has already been confirmed for the second edition of the Berlin Crash Fest for a while, true veterans of punk take over the post of headliner. At the latest with the melodic punk-rock anthems “Punk-Rock Song”, “Los Angeles Is Burning” or “21st Century”, every visitor is guaranteed to be confident in the text.
Lagwagon are now officially part of it. The Californians have been convincing with jagged punk since the beginning of the 90s and made a decisive contribution to the establishment of the fast and simultaneously melodic punk music. Since their debut ‘Duh’ in 1992, the band released seven more studio albums, the latter work ‘Railer’ last year.
In addition to Lagwagon, the adolescents also fit wonderfully into the line-up. The melodic hardcore band, also from California, can look back on a long band history (similar to Bad Religion). The musicians from Orange County have been on stage together for 40 years now and, contrary to what their band name suggests, have long been among the old hands of the music business.
The line up is growing and a catch-up date has also been found: On July 31, 2021, the Berlin Crash Fest will enter its second round. As the saying goes? It is well known that anticipation is the greatest joy!
