For the upcoming issue, Texture is pleased to join forces with its namesake from Detroit, adding a small contribution to a fruitful musical city partnership and mutual interest that has accompanied the evolution of electronic music since its early days. Highly dedicated to support and showcase diverse contemporary shapes of raw, idiosyncratic House and Techno, Jacob Park and Shady P are pushing things forward in the Motor City; not only as promoters, but also as DJs and producers. To offer a most warmhearted welcome and appropriate musical framework, we invited a group of like-minded local artists, label heads and activists that represent the finest aspects of Berlin’s vibrant and devoted underground scenery. Annanan, who just launched their very promising new imprint, busy bee Willis Anne and Crude Wax' Vincenzo Maurice are bringing sound and spirit from the rough ends and edges - in person, on vinyl and from inside their analogue equipment. European support comes straight outta Amsterdam: Identified patient is going to provide evidence that his newcomer status is only temporary. An excited warm-up from our residents I/O & Zulian will guide you toward a long hot spring night, dedicated to celebrate music, togetherness and a lot of Machine Jazz!
