For each night, one selected artist will be able to demonstrate their ability to purely express their influences, mood, thoughts and words into the intimate surrounds of the 200 capacity venue.
For our seventh instalment, Altered Soul Experiment invites DJ, producer, singer and percussionist Alton Miller to play an extended set in the intimate surrounds of OHM Berlin.
Born in Chicago, raised in Detroit, Miller was heavily influenced by the strong soul, funk and disco scene at the time. His introduction to club culture came from Ron Hardy’s ‘Music Box’, along with several other parties he was able to witness DJ’s such as Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles and Timmy Regisford. Miller then went on to open the short-lived, but highly influential ‘Music Institute’ with friends Chez Damier & George Baker. It was at this time Miller pursued his interests in percussion and production, releasing on Sound Signature, Track Mode, Guidance and Mahogani Music to name a few - all while developing his own influential and inspiring sound.
Join us and experience the depth of Alton Miller’s record collection alongside Altered Soul Experiment co-founder Amila and ASE family member Sanctuary.
