The 25th Π party travels back to Berlin’s About Blank, for a 22 hour event in collaboration with Phormix and Habeat Records. Phormix is one of the most creative music collectives hailing from Athens right now, with their regular party series, podcast series and the Phormix Tapes. Habeat records is one of the most well known record shops of Athens, providing a music hub in the very centre of Athens. This is their Berlin debut joining forces with π for an event that brings together artists closely related to Pi Electronics, Modal Analysis and Phormix, as well as some favourites of the Habeat Record store and the Berlin party, Phase.
JK Flesh, headlining the MDF floor, is the artist responsible for the next Pi Electronics release (PI04), while Morah and Outermost, who are behind the 12th and 13th Modal Analysis records, will be found in the garden.
Shawn O’Sullivan is also hosted at the Π stage (MDF) on Friday, with this being an announcement of his remix on Morah’s MA12 under the moniker ‘Vapauteen’. However, Vapauteen is not the only New Yorker of the night. Female artists, Antenes and Kerri Lebon also travel from the United States for their dj performances at MDF and the garden, respectively. June and Trenton Chase, who also appear in the Phormix Tapes, debut their new project “Manie Sans Delire” on Saturday. The head of the LUX Rec label, Daniele Cosmo will be also djing along.
Goth hero, QUAL - also known from his band ‘Lebanon Hanover’ - is presenting his live show on Friday night at MDF, while Electro Master, Dez Williams will be taking over the Habeat Recs stage at the Lobby.
Punk electronics, Dutch duo, Volition Immanent will bring their mind-blowing performance to about blank’s garden on Saturday, with Marsman - another Dutch mastermind, chef of Pinkman records - standing on the top of the Habeat Records’ stage on Friday night.
Hamburg music figure, Dietroiter and Scottish producer Murray Cy will also be included in the monster line up of the Phormix stage in the garden, with last but definitely not least hosting the legend of Mick Wills making his way from Stuttgart to headline Saturday’s treat.
Liber Null’s Unhuman and Mr. Pi, 3.14 will appear behind the booth of MDF for the Pi Electronics stage, with Zorz (another π resident dj) spinning his records at the Lobby for Habeat Records.
Finally, head of the Berlin parties ‘Phase’ will be found at the lobby too, where the record shop’s owner, Mackenzie supports his stage along with fellow Olympus record label co-founder and member of the default collective, I:Diom.
The summer season is over, but we wanted to keep the festival spirit on.
In case of a rainy day on Saturday, we’ll stay in the dark.
Starts on Friday, at midnight and ends on Saturday night, at 22:00.
