Yemen Club Charity Event

Join us for a night of dancing at Kara Kas Bar.

We are hosting a club charity event to raise money for the humanitarian emergency in Yemen. Children in Yemen are facing a massive crisis. Volatile armed conflicts and rapidly shifting frontlines are occurring in the midst of growing poverty and an already large-scale humanitarian crisis. As the conflict rages on, the needs of millions continue to grow. Among elders, pregnant women, and the disabled, children are growing up in the poorest country in the Arab world with little opportunity for education and development.

Door fee: 5-10 Euros (up to you). There will also be a donation box at the door. Door costs and all other proceeds will go directly to The Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC), which is solely aiding Yemen.

Stats:
- Half of the country's population, over 14M people are at risk of starvation
- 2M people are internally displaced across Yemen 
- 10M people need urgent assistance 
- 10,000 people have been directly killed due to the conflict, mostly as a result of Saudi-led air strikes.
- Starving Yemenies are resorting to eating rubbish and leaves 
- 95% of money donated to DEC goes to program services (highest we've seen)
