If there’s one label in the near past that was interested in breaking down several borders of the UK sound aesthetics, it’s definitely Hessle Audio from London. With the uncompromising mix of enthusiasm as well as interest in progress, the founding triumvirate Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea has brought together a rumbling volcano of influences: dubstep, grime, house, techno and of course the ubiquitous taste of experimentalism is found on their platform since 2007 – in addition to high-level guests like James Blake, Blawan, Untold or Objekt. For tonight’s label night, on the Boiler floor they invited not only Ondo Fudd, who has just released his debut album as Super Call on Fabric's offshoot Houndstooth, but also the new kid on the isle - Beneath. The Briton is the latest signing of the avant-garde PAN label and a man who knows how to create his own genre.
As if this wasn’t enough, when you listen closely on our Bunker floor the legend alarm will shrill pretty loud. With Adam X, the Hessle Audio crew invited the New York veteran who tirelessly continued to write his chapters in the holy techno book since the early 90s. We just drop two words: Sonic Groove. And when we’re talking about label knowledge, we should not forget that Pangaea recently published two fabulous 12-inches on his own imprint Hadal. Just before, he was responsible for the 73rd edition of the Fabriclive mix that featured their next guest Marco Shuttle. 2014 is a pretty successful year for the Italian-born, he released stomping techno bombs on The Bunker New York and Peter Van Hoesen’s Time To Express imprint. Last but not least, there is a surprise with a secret guest as well. You’re damn right, a night to remember!
