For the fourth time, the benefit party “about welcome” will begin the new year with a party. This time the event is called “beyond welcome”. Together we want to celebrate the best hotel in Europe: The City Plaza in Athens. Activists squatted the hotel in April 2016 and opened its doors to refugees. The hotel is collectively organized and is dependent on donations out of solidarity. Furthermore, the party will support the migrant self-organized group ‘Women in Exile' and the ‘Solizimmer-Initiative Berlin'. Both groups are working towards providing a dignified life beyond the refugee camp accommodation. Despite all attempts to close Europe's borders and to detain refugees in camps in Turkey and Greece, migration is happening and does not bother with identity and racist mobilization or right-wing ‘whitelash'.

The evening opens with the rappers Josh & Nash, Jennifer Gegenläufer und Lamb Kebab BLT. Afterwards the party continues over four floors with techno, house, disco, and hiphop.
