DJ Alex Pe Win is 33 1/3 of the Voices Collective alongside fellow DJ's Cedric Woo and Ramar and live percussion. Voices was one of first London based parties to incorporate a strong support in the revival of original Disco, Italo, New Wave music alongside the best of the new deep house and melodic Techno.

Alex has been a working and professional DJ since 1990 and traces his musical roots and record buying back to the early-mid 80's electro and rap era. A breaker (dancer) from 84 - dancing has always been a major part of his life and gained a massive momentum with the arrival of House music to his ears in late 88 and 89 and still fuels his passion for DJ'ing and dancing here and abroad.

Alex has held residencies at London's Plastic People for Attica Blues & Hoxton Pimps infamous all night warehouse parties as well as guest appearences for Fabric, Lasermagnetic and Stussy UK. Abroad Alex has been invited to Berlin to play at Soju & Kingsize. Los Angeles at 'Free Thinkin' and San Diego's 'Lounge Candelah' and New York's APT to play alongside such luminaries as Citizen Kane (The Deep End), Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area) and Theo Parrish (Sound Signature).

2009/10 and Voices Sound System was launched. Bringing a high end audio installation experience. The collective also returned to host the 1st Friday of each month at Plastic People on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, London EC2. They were joined by an array of guest from around the world inc DJ's Citizen Kane (Disque Sinthomes), Eric Duncan (Rub n Tug), Daniel Wang (Balihu), Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area), DJ Kaos (Berlin) Gerry Rooney ( Black Cock Recs), Joel Martin (Quiet Village), Mark Seven, Nick The Record (Soul Ascendants), Gatto Fritto (Dissident, Fritto Morto Recs). More residencies followed at The Drop and continue with more soundsystem events planned in 2011. Watch out for more Voices Soundsystem events around London...

2010 saw Alex team up with Johnny Chingas another of London's long standing promoters from Lasermagnetic/Spacemachine to set up Visonare 'Pop Up Cinema' and music event as well as major events featuring some of the legendary Disco DJ's, Pioneers & Producers including Bobby Viteritti (Trocadero Transfer S.F). Casco & Daniele Baldelli (Cosmic, Baia De Angeli), Victor Rosado (Paradise Garage)

Alex has also guested on radio on Tim Sweeney's 'Beats In Space' WNYU and DJ Small Change on WFMU in New York and New Jersey.

On the show expect the best in new upfront Deep House, melodic Techno & Minimal as well as Afrobeat, Roots Reagae and Dub, Deep Disco, Jazz, Rock and Classics. Basically all the various moods and grooves that play a part in a night out and the Voices Collective Soundsystem experience..
