BERLIN GETS A TWISTED MASQUERADE TO CELEBRATE UNDERGROUND CULTUR, DARK FASHION AND THE BEST IN DEEP HOUSE MUSIC – HOSTED BY SOCIAL EXPOSURE AND BORIS TANKILEWITSCH
PRESS RELEASE: Berlin, New York, Munich, London, Toronto – July 31st 2014
What do you get when you cross-pollinate fetish couture with techno and Deep House? If Tim Burton and Marie Antoinette hosted a party together, would you kill for an invite? Avant-garde Events Company Social Exposure crosses international borders once more and teams up with local Berlin event producer, Boris Tankilewitsch, to present music and fashion lovers with a brand new event:
THE TWISTED MASQUERADE! Saturday September 6th, at The Grand Club Berlin, 10:00pm with a STRICT dress code.
Social Exposure, LLC and Boris Tankilewitsch present a dark yet fashionably outrageous event for those who relish the art of dressing up. How strict is this dress code, exactly? Guests must attend in BLACK masks and black outfits that contain any or all of the following: Leather, lace, chains, studs, metal or black feathers. Using a combination of both soft, romantic materials with harsh, strong pieces like metal cuffs will give the party a daring, cohesive look. The Twisted Masquerade is a sexy, romantic, creative, cinematic dress up party with the best damn house and techno Berlin has to offer. Guests can expect to enter an underworld, dance all night, meet new people and feel totally outside themselves.
“I feel that local Berliners would love an event like this and are probably invited to dress sexy like this all the time but fear that it might be the wrong vibe or an unsafe environment. This event will give everyone a chance to bring out their inner dark side and make it all about the creativity and individual personalities,” describes Boris Tankilewitsch. “I’ve always been obsessed with Tim Burton and how dark yet romantic his movies are. The Twisted Masquerade will reflect that and a little bit of Black Swan! When I visited Berlin for the first time back in May, I felt like I was home. The nightlife here is surreal and still completely underground. I’ve craved a scene like this for years.” explains Social Exposure founder Sally Golan.
Social Exposure is an international events company best known for creating hugely interactive events such as the Lingerie Pillow fights, the famous naked painting parties, the Dreamside pool parties and recently: a Blindfold sensory Gallery. Social Exposure aims to create a new nightlife brand for those who wish to meet new people in outside the box situations. Social Exposure events have been featured in every major trade from The New York Times to The Daily Mail UK.
Boris Tankilewitsch is a Berlin resident, an event producer and serial entrepreneur.
Boris is the brand manager for Tinder in Germany, the owner of fashion brand Kinder & Tank, has promoted for NYC clubs such as Lavo and 1OAK and has produced many successful events at Rocco & Sanny, Avenue and Weekend club.
The Twisted Masquerade BELONGS at The Grand Berlin with its historical charm. The Grand is a former, detached, three-story building from 1842 and is under monumental protection.
“The Grand is a venue that welcomes a lot of international guests and we are absolutely thrilled to welcome a New York based pop up event here in our humble house. We hope The Twisted Masquerade, a collaboration between NYC and Berlin, can be the beginning of many international partnerships and bridge the gap for those seeking underground, stylistic events”. States Club Manager of The Grand, Daniel Lente
