The David Watts Foundation presents:
SUN AND THE WOLF
Forming from the ashes of another life in New Zealand, Sun and the Wolf’s Brodie White, Peter Mangan and Mike Tweed relocated from Auckland to Berlin in late 2008 leaving behind the comforts of home and a band formed in their teens that had carved it’s name upon the New Zealand rock’n’roll scene. Sun and the Wolf recorded their debut album ‘White Buffalo’ in the summer of 2010 and released it in Europe, and at home in New Zealand via boutique label Banished From The Universe in 2011. Their latest album called 'Salutations' came out in 2015 and is full of jangling psych hits. Dig it!
MACHIINE
A new supergroup has seen the light of day. Members of The Underground Youth, PINS and Crocodiles have formed a band in order to melt their different musical influences together. If you dig the early sound of bands like The Fall or imagine The Cramps with a more garage-y outline you're going to love it! This is their first German show and their second show ever!
VOODOO BEACH
A psych-blues outfit stranded in Berlin. Sharing their
love for various bands such as Velvet Underground and Mazzy Star, Verita (voc./guit.) and Josephine (drums) started the band in 2014. They soon teamed up with Ignacy (guit.) and John (bass) forming a four-piece line up with an unique style of Psychedelic Rock dipped in a sea of bluesy LoFi sounds: Hypnotizing bass lines combined with dark, minimalistic drumbeats push forward while droning guitar riffs and vocals create a floating mood, wrapping you up in a mystic vibe.
Aftershow: Martin & Sascha of The David Watts Foundation will spin 60s Pop, Garage & Soul and Neo-Garage/Psych on 45s.
