J.Lamotta すずめ was born in Tel Aviv to a family with Moroccan roots. In 2014 she dropped out of the Jazz Institute Tel Aviv and relocated to Berlin, where she immersed herself in the hip-hop/free-jazz/neo-soul scene.
In September 2016 she formed her own band "The Dizzy Sparrow" to perform her beat live. "Conscious Tree" is her first official release, which came out in Jan 2018 by Jakarta Records (Germany) and P-VINE, Inc (Japan).
