Spring is finally here, and it’s time for another DROP at Crack Bellmer! After having swapped remix courtesies with Franz Matthews at the beginning of the year, we’re excited to invite Italo wizard Daddy Squad to the party, joined by the rising comet Alemao who will be celebrating the release of his latest EP on HIFI/LOFI, without forgetting your host Franz Matthews to wrap up this cosmic lineup.

Daddy Squad is the solo project of Andrew Armstrong, one half of electro pop group Monarchy, where he brings together his long history in music, spanning from Disco, Italo, Synthpop, Early Rave, Breakbeat, Through House, Electro Pop, French Touch… Andrew has written, produced and collaborated with a host of artists including Dita Von Teese, Blondie, Charlie XCX, Kelis, Kylie, OMD, Lady Gaga, Jamiroquai, SIA, and more.

Having lived in Berlin, Paris, Hamburg & Barcelona among other cities, Alemao has been soaking up music in Europe’s most renowned house & techno clubs for more than a decade. He started gracing the face of the world with vibrating air molecules in Dublin in 2016 where he has not only earned his nickname ‘Alemao’ but also played regularly at Pygmalion, sharing bills with the likes of Âme, Jennifer Cardini or The Drifter.

Based out of Berlin, Franz Matthews likes to blend worlds together. Either wandering through cosmic, spiritual, or other mental realms, the holy groove never gravitates far away in his music. Matthews released music on imprints such as AEON, Eskimo Recordings, Heimlich, and HIFI/LOFI of course, and collaborated with a number of artists that would be too long to mention here, but luckily, you’ve got your favorite streaming platforms for that
