In the summer of 2020, the Whities label, which is valued for its futuristic sound designs, was renamed and has been called AD 93 ever since. The catalog numbers will be continued after the rebranding, as will the will to musical daring. From the modern classics of Maxwell Sterling, the rough techno of Anunaku to the wonderful ambient epics of the Berlin-based producer and DJ Vivian Koch, many things appear on Nic Tasker's British label that cannot be reduced to a musical denominator - except maybe that it is very good, very personal music in their area. In addition to Vivian Koch, Tasker invited Vladimir Ivkovic to the AD 93 night in the Panorama Bar, a DJ who corresponds 100% to this open musical concept that operates beyond the standards. Ehua, in turn, is part of the collective GRIOT, a collective that focuses on music and art from Africa and the global diaspora. Their productions are polyrhythmic, expansive tracks, which are also dazzling in their percussion-loaded sets.
