As the saying goes: Never trust a DJ that doesn't dance. Giulia Fournier-Mercadante aka GiGi FM is a DJ and trained dancer who grew up in Paris and now lives in London. Her musical influences range from Donato Dozzy to Björk and Eric Satie, in her sets and productions she shows herself to be a specialist in hypnotic techno with fun in polyrhythms and wet, crackling percussion. Their first record, the Magnetite EP, has just been released on Bambounou's label Bambe. Dwayne Parris-Robinson, Parris for short, is a native of London who has absorbed and creatively processed all UK dance styles over the past decades. After recordings on Trilogy Tapes, Idle Hands and Rubadub, late last year he released his remarkable debut album Soaked In Indigo Moonlight on his label you can feel the sun, which he runs together with Call Super. It wonderfully moves between hyperpop and experimental dance music. GiGi FM and Parris are playing together with ItaloJohnson and Ogazón for today's Finest Friday.
