REEF is the party series of the Canadian-born DJ Darwin. The name goes back to coral reefs, which are home to just as diverse a fauna as Darwin, in the figurative sense, would like it for the club community: to offer a place where the most varied of living beings can feel comfortable. Musically, the REEF parties are grounded in a British understanding of club music, which celebrates UK bass, breaks and global rhythms on one floor. For the first REEF in Berghain, a DJ and producer, Batu, who lives in Bristol, is one of the most innovative activists of the Hardcore Continuum. Not only through his own sets and releases - his label Timedance is valued as one of the best and most progressive platforms for extraordinary techno and bass music mutations. There is also a B2B from Darwin and the London DJ re: ni, as well as a set from REEF resident Esposito.
