Concert in the club garden
The Berlin producer Ed Davenport has at least two musical legs with his inland project: on the one hand, he publishes nuanced, driving techno on labels such as Figure or his own platform Counterchange, on the other hand he also works on more abstract sound installations and soundtracks under this name. 'Invitation To Disappear' was his 2018 debut album for A-TON, which was based on the soundtrack of a video installation by concept artist Julian Charrière. Of course, Kangding Ray should also be familiar with this musical Janus-headedness: With 'Branches' he has just released an EP on Len Faki's label Figure, which transports the sophisticated sonic world of the French onto the big dance floor. Inland and Kangding Ray can be seen live in the garden today, a DJ set comes from Hüseyin Evirgen alias Magna Pia.
