REOPENING WITH NEW WORKS
JUNE 18 - AUGUST 29, 2021
The exhibition STUDIO BERLIN in Berghain, organized by the Boros Foundation, shows works by contemporary artists who live and work in Berlin. National and international positions from the fields of photography, sculpture, painting, video, sound and installation can be seen. After being closed for eight months, the exhibition, which was only accessible for a few weeks last year, will reopen on June 18th.
The exhibition rooms were changed during the period of closure. The adjoining hall at Berghain is no longer used; instead, rooms that were still unknown to the public were integrated into the exhibition. In addition to the works that were already on view in the original version of the exhibition, there are also works by Monira Al Qadiri & Raed Yassin, Andrea Büttner, Haris Epaminonda, Bastian Gehbauer, Hannah Hallermann, Constantin Hartenstein, Camille Henrot, Amalie Jakobsen, Tony Just , Simon Mullan, Kirsten Pieroth, Mary-Audrey Ramirez, Aaron Scheer, Nadine Schemmann, Marianna Simnett, Sung Tieu and Kandis Williams and can be seen. New works will continue to be integrated over the period of the exhibition.
Artist studios are places for discussion, reflection, translation, analysis and conceptual thinking. The studio as a production facility is still the focus of the exhibition and forms its starting point.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the exhibition can only be visited as part of guided tours in small groups, accompanied by an art educator. These start every 15 minutes and are carried out in English or German. Visitors who would like to visit the exhibition without an art mediator can do so on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Personalized online tickets with a time slot for a guided tour or an open house visit can be purchased using our online booking system at www.studio.berlin/tickets.
